Bedtime Stories #3
Welcome back to my Bedtime Stories series. With 2 bedtime stories a day sometimes we are stacking up the books at the moment, but Little Man still has his firm favourites which I think I could read in my sleep! Here are 3 more we have been enjoying in the past week.
I Love My Daddy by Giles Andrews – This book has extra special meaning for us as G works away from home a lot. Little Man loves to see what the little boy in the story is doing with his Daddy and likes the fact that some of the things are similar to what he does with G. It is a great rhyming story with engaging illustrations. I think we will have to buy the I Love My Mummy book too to balance it out a bit!
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Billy Martin Jnr & Eric Carle – Another great book from Carle. His books just never seem to age. Little Man has been asking for this every day at the moment. It is a simple story asking different animals what they can see ending in a monkey being able to see a lot of children watching him. The book is great if your little one is learning colours. Little Man will finish off the sentences now too. I would really recommend this book for toddlers.
Dinosaurs In The Supermarket by Timothy Knapman & Sarah Warburton – This is the first picture book that Little Man ever sat down with and listened to the whole story. It is a hilarious story about a little boy trying to tell people that there are dinosaurs in the supermarket but nobody believes him. Again, this book has wonderful illustrations, we can spend a good 5 minutes hunting for the hidden dinosaurs on some of the pages. Great for a fun read, sometimes a bit too exciting for bedtime but a great book all the same.
I am always looking out for new books to read with Little Man so if any of you have any recommendations I would love to hear about them.
