Book Review: I Like to Squeak

I have another lovely book to share with you from Little Tiger Press. Regular readers know what a fan of their books I am, I honestly don’t think you can get better interactive books for your toddler. They very kindly sent me one of their new releases called I Like to Squeak! How Do You Speak?

This story is all about a little mouse who is learning about other animals sounds. It is a noisy book too; when the flap is lifted the animal noise sounds. This was a lovely surprise for Little Man when he lifted the fist flap. One thing I really liked about this book is how interactive it is. As you work your way through the book there are little prompts for mini activities to do with your child like ‘can you squeak around the whole house’.

Physically the book is sturdy and so far no rips. Little Man loves this book and we have read it a lot so it has stood up to toddler handling!! The main thing I really like about this book is the level of interactivity, it is a great one to share as a family.

One thing I will say is that every so often the noises didn’t sound. I think that the sounds are light sensitive or at least sequence based and maybe with Little Man turning the pages randomly they didn’t always sound when they should. This could be down to the light too. Other than that a great story and a great way for toddlers to learn about animal sounds.

Now for the important stuff. I Like to Squeak is £9.99 and is recommended for ages 3+ years. You can find out more about I Like to Squeak here or visit the Little Tiger Press website.
