I am very late to this party! Eeek! The lovely Gemma over at Confessions of a Nagging Mother nominated me for The Blogger Interview back in August. Sorry, I’m so late Gemma!!
The Blogger Interview is a tag designed to give you a little bit of an insight into the blogger behind the blog! So here is my Blogger Interview.
How did you get into blogging?
I had wanted to do it for a while; I originally started with a blog about being a Librarian. I think I wrote 3 posts. Then one day I sat down and wrote about being a Mum and loved it so I carried on. I found it to be a great way to document our family life and also somewhere of my own to write about my post-natal anxiety. I just sort of kept on writing and here I am 10 months in! I have surprised myself to be honest but I have loved every minute of it. The community that comes with blogging is amazing too.
What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?
Enjoy it. Don’t place any expectations on it. Just do it because you’re passionate about what you are writing about. Try not to look at other bloggers and wonder why you’re not getting as many views or opportunities. Everyone is different, everyone has different amounts of time to put into their blog. As long as you
are enjoying it then really, that’s all that matters. The other thing I would say is ask questions. Fellow bloggers are amazing and the parent blogging community is such a friendly one. If you want to know something, ask. So many people helped me at the start with the technical side of things especially.
What would be your dream campaign?
I’m slightly copying Gemma with this answer but my dream campaign would also be with Disney World. I would love to work with them and would be so excited if I got that opportunity…probably more excited than Little Man!
What advice would you give to PR’s wanting to approach you for a campaign?
This is a tough question. I guess just send me an email and we can get chatting. I love to work with brands I care about so am always up for a chat!
Do you have a plan for your blog?
I want to keep doing what I’m doing. I would like to make more of my website and give it more of a unique design that is just for me.
What do you think about rankings?
I think everyone cares about their rankings to a certain extent. You want to know that what you are putting out there is being read. But when I first started blogging I would check my rankings, stats etc every day. Now I rarely look because it can get a bit obsessive. I think it is up to the individual about how seriously they take them depending on the outcome they want from their blog.
