We Love Our Gro Clock & WIN One!! *Giveaway Now Closed*
When someone says a product has changed their life, I tend to scoff and roll my eyes. Really?! One little product can change your life?!
I stand corrected.
Enter the Gro-clock. If you already have one, you will hopefully know exactly what I mean. If you haven’t, let me explain.
The Gro-clock is an alarm clock for toddlers basically. Little Man went through a phase about 4 months ago of waking up at 5am, sometimes earlier. It was difficult; he was tired, we were tired. It wasn’t good for any of us. I had heard a lot about the greatness of the Gro-clock so I thought I would try one.
They are really easy to set up. You enter the time you would ideally like your child to wake up (it’s a good idea to start realistically and then move it later 5 minutes at a time) and off you go. You set the clock every night when your little one goes to bed and get a big star on the screen with 12 little stars around the edge which counts down the time until wake up! When it is get up time, the sun comes up on the screen and your little one knows it’s time to get up.
I know it sounds too good to be true but after 2 weeks of using the clock Little Man was waking up at 7am rather than 5am. I think he wakes up and see’s that the star is still there so understands it is still night. Even if he is awake we have taught him to stay in his bed until the sun.
Every evening before going to bed, we had little chats with Little Man about getting up when the sun comes up, etc. Over the 2 week period, it sunk in. The clock also comes with a little story book. It is really sweet and all about a grumpy pig who sleeps in the day and misses out on the fun because he has been up in the night. Little Man loves the fact that the pig has the same clock as him in the pictures.
I cannot praise this clock enough, it has given us more sleep and I am truely grateful for that. We are all in much better moods for it too! It was money well spent!!!

We have a grow clock and I’m really struggling at the moment with it, I still get up before the suns up. I’m maybe still a bit too young to understand the concept, we will persevere with it. These posts give us hope!!! 😉 #TriedTested x

I always meant to get one of these, but somehow never got round to it. Anything earlier than 6am definitely counts as night time in our house! These days I need some kind of bad dream clock. For now we’re making do with a dream catcher! #TwinklyTuesday
Oohh dream catcher is a fab idea for bad dreams xx
We have a gro-clock in my daughters room and its working really well at keeping her in bed until 7am at the moment. I also really enjoyed the story, I think I nearly know it off by heart! #Twinklytuesday

I’d love one of these to help to get my son into a better sleep routine!
To help my daughter know what time is time to get up 🙂
We have yet to have luck with ours dammit! I think we may have to re-explain the actual rules of it to see if he maybe understands more now as he’s been waking up in the night and calling out for us. The problem is, is that I also need to get across that he can just cover himself back up with the covers. They don’t have a gadget for that do they?! Thanks so much for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
