Review – Muddy Puddles Puddleflex Jacket

Do you have a puddle jumper? I certainly do, there is nothing my boy likes more than to jump around in puddles in his wellies. We spend a lot of time outdoors and it is really important to me that he has a good coat on. I want it to keep him dry, warm and look good too. Muddy Puddles very kindly sent Little Man one of their Puddleflex jackets to try and I honestly love it and as an added bonus Little Man does too. So no tantrums about putting his coat on because he loves his “fireman coat” a lot too!

Muddy Puddles Puddleflex Jacket Review

If you haven’t heard of Muddy Puddles before they make high quality outdoor clothes. You can find their website here.

We chose the red Puddleflex jacket but all the colours are lovely and suitable for both girls and boys. I just love Little Man in red so this was perfect for us. The RRP of this coat is £42, I wouldn’t normally spend this much on a coat for Little Man but it does feel worth the money. The quality of the coat is clear to see.

When the coat arrived I was very impressed with the feel of the material, it felt really good quality and the fleecy lining made it feel very cosy! It has a zip and poppers at the front to keep all that nasty wind and rain out. A really good point is that Little Man can do the poppers up himself, something which can often be tricky at his age.

We chose size 4-5 years because Little Man is very tall for his age, the size chart on their website made it really easy to choose the right size for Little Man. It fits him perfectly. There is enough room for him to wear a jumper underneath so perfect for layering up over the winter.

I often have a problem finding hoods to fit Little Mans (rather large) head but this again is a great fit. When the hood isn’t up I really like the collar which covers all of Little Man’s neck up too.

If you have a toddler you will also know how important wipe clean coats are and this one is great for that, so I haven’t got to worry too much about how muddy Little Man gets. Since we have received this coat, Little Man has worn it non stop, in fact taking it off him can be quite tricky as he loves it that much.

We have been out in the rain, the cold and the wind and the coat has stood up to it all. Not only is he dry and cosy, I think he looks super stylish too! I think this coat will see us through Autumn & Winter and will be a staple in his wardrobe.

I think you’ve probably got the jist that I love this coat but if not Muddy Puddles asked me fill in their rating system (5 is high, 1 is low).

  • Fit – 5
  • Quality – 5
  • Durability – 5
  • Comfort – 5
  • Price – 4

If you are looking for a good winters coat, go take a peek at what Muddy Puddles has to offer.

We were sent this coat in return for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

That coat looks really well protected from the winds and the rains; quite often this time of year it’s not cold enough for a Puffa jacket but something to keep the wind out is required. This looks lovely
