Welcome back to my Twin Pregnancy Diary. I am going to try and record as much of my pregnancy as I can over the next few months so come along. For more information on why I decided to do this head over here.
So today’s update is catching you up on my 13th and 14th weeks. It has been a fortnight of ups and downs. So off we go.
13 weeks – This week, of course was a very exciting week as we had our 12 week scan. I was incredibly nervous about the scan even though I had felt utterly terrible which everyone had told me was a good sign I was still scared. We had the most lovely scan experience; the sonographer was also a midwife and she was just really lovely. We had a very rushed first scan with Little Man but we didn’t feel rushed at all. As soon as she put the scanner (no idea what its’s called ) on my tummy there were our babies, all cuddled up together and possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. Everything was okay, the twins are doing well and are both around the same size which is a really good thing as they are identical and sharing one placenta. They are each the size of pea pods this week
Other than the scan this week I had morning sickness on and off and went back to work after some annual leave so the tiredness was pretty bad as I had slowed down a bit. We announced the pregnancy this week too; for a long time I was happy to keep it as our little secret but by the time we got to this week I was ready to shout it from the rooftops mainly so I could show people that I wasn’t a miserable mare, I had awful morning sickness!! We also told Little Man properly even though he had picked bits and pieces up. He loves the idea of it all, I just hope he finds the reality as good!
14 weeks – Wow, what a week. It started off with bad morning sickness then it I thought I had mastered keeping it at bay and then Friday – BAM. It floored me. I was sick all day; I couldn’t keep water down even. It was hideous. I am really hoping I start to improve as I am really starting to struggle with how much the sickness is slowing me down and affecting our life. Poor Little Man must be sick of hearing me say I need to sit down. He has been amazing about it though. Another lovely thing has been Little Man talking to the babies a lot, he likes to tell them that he loves them and tell me how big my tummy is getting!! I feel like I have had yet another growth spurt (they should be the size of lemons this week) and my tummy feels very tight, I am slightly concerned how big I am going to get in the coming months.
So there we go, that is us all caught up! I hope you enjoyed the update. Are you pregnant? How are you feeling?
These weekly updates are written (not always published) on the day I turn 13 weeks for example so I am talking about the week previous to that.
Other Updates:

Thank you lovely xx
Oh! How sweet of Sam! I’m sure his siblings will love his voice once they are born.
I used to eat almonds as a snack, when I was pregnant and suffering from morning sickness. I remember that keeping my stomach busy with digestion helped considerably. The downside to this is that I gained weight but nothing too extreme.
Hope you feel better soon!

You really are having ups and downs! Hope the morning sickness eases soon x #Bestandworst
Aww glad you had a lovely scan and Sam is excited. I had HG with my pregnancies, and the difficulty of caring for a baby/toddler as well during the second – it was awful. I can’t imagine what it would be like with twins – hope it settles down soon. #bestandworst
