Twin Pregnancy Diary – 15 – 17 Weeks
Welcome back to my Twin Pregnancy Diary. I am going to try and record as much of my pregnancy as I can over the next few months so come along. For more information on why I decided to do this head over here.
So today’s update is catching you up on my 15th, 16th & 17th weeks. I have grouped them together in 3 weeks because other than finding out the babies genders. The weeks have been very similar.
The last three weeks have been tough; I feel like I moan my way through this pregnancy but I can’t lie this pregnancy has really knocked me off my feet. The sickness is still going strong; at times it has been worse than my first trimester. I have a few good days and then bam! it hits me and I end up in bed not being able to move without being sick. I have had to cancel things with friends and I really feel like it is ruling me. I am still living in hope that it will ease soon and enjoying the good days when I can!
My bump has really popped out over the last couple of weeks. I would say I am easily the size I was at around 22 weeks with Little Man. Lots of people are commenting on how big my bump is and although I am super proud of my twinnie bump it does make me feel a little self conscious. Apologies for the PJ bottoms in this picture, hehe!
I have been feeling the babies move quite a lot over the past couple of weeks which has been lovely. I didn’t really feel Little Man till well past 20 weeks so feeling them so early has been amazing and also helped to make the sickness worth it!
Finally, at 16 weeks we went for a private scan to find out if our babies were pink or blue and we announced that they are little girls. I was so shocked as I was absolutely convinced they were boys but we are very excited to be welcoming two little ladies into our family. Spot my Dad in the background of this photo; he looks very happy about them being girls too!!!
That is about it for this update I think. My fortnightly hospital appointments start next week so I am hoping that I will start to understand a bit more about what having identical twins means and talk about the birth too. I will keep you posted!
