3 Easy Halloween Activities for Preschoolers
Halloween has really got Little Man excited this year especially after our pumpkin trail at the weekend so in my wisdom I thought I would do some Halloween based activities with him over half term. Now, this sounds very Pinterest of me I know, however if you were reading my blog this time last year you will have seen my absolute fail at a Halloween craft. I am not very creative I think it is fair to say. This is where my lovely Mum comes in. She used to run a playgroup and then worked at a primary school so she has kids craft activities perfected. Today I am going to share 3 really easy Halloween activities that my Mum did with Little Man this week. He loved them so give them a go!
Ghosts – This was a super quick activity but I find these are the best for little people. We cut out some white ghost shapes, stuck eyes and cotton wool onto them and then attached wool to hang them up.
Bats – Another quick one for these spooky bats! Simply cut out a bat shape from some black paper, stick on some eyes and pop some wool through it so they can hang.
Witches Brew – Now for the really fun one! Little Man made a witches brew. My Mum basically got a load of random foods (this is not for eating!) and food colouring along with some plastic spiders and eyes and Little Man stirred it all together. There were things like vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in there so it fizzed and bubbled.
It looked and smelt disgusting and Sam bloomin’ loved it! Here is a list of what went into ours to give you some ideas:
- Bircarbonate of Soda
- Orange Coloured Water
- Spaghetti (worms)
- Cereal Hoops (frogs eyes)
- Pudding Rice (frog spawn)
- Almond Extract
- Googly Eyes
- Herbs & Spices
- Coca Cola
- Plastic Spiders
- Pasta Shells
I hope you like these 3 easy Halloween activities. Thank goodness there were no disasters this year!
