Review – Fisher Price Blaze & The Monster Machines Animal Island Stunts Speedway

Little Man is a massive Blaze & The Monster Machines fan. He owns a few tracks and vehicles from the series already so you can imagine his delight as he peeped over my shoulder to see Mummy being asked to review the latest Blaze & The Monster Machines toy. And here it is. It is the Animal Island Stunts Speedway.

It sounds impressive doesn’t it?! Well that’s because it is. Inspired by the new Wild Wheels theme from the show this toy really doesn’t disappoint. To start with the assembly of the toy was really easy. The pieces slot in and out really easily; if you own other Blaze tracks you will know what I mean. This track also connects to other Blaze toys too which is great and a massive plus point for me. The whole thing although big feels very sturdy and not at all flimsy. Another parent plus for this is that there are no batteries needed and no annoying noises!

Once it was assembled Little Man really enjoyed working out what it did; there are four different stunts to try, from a tree fall to a vertical drop and a really cool S curve where Blaze flips upside down.

When I saw the box for this toy I was a little bit concerned about the size of it but actually even though it’s tall, it is very slim and doesn’t take up much room in our play room at all. The set comes with an exclusive Lion Blaze but Little Man’s other Blaze toys from his other tracks also fitted which again was a huge plus point. There are also some mini animals you can collect to go with this set and they have their own little hiding place in the speedway.

Overall we really love this toy and Little Man has played with it every day. It has fuelled his imagination and that’s the main thing I look for in a toy like this. He has made up his own Blaze stories and adventures and also enjoyed showing his baby sister all of the stunts.

You can grab this Fisher Price Blaze set (suitable from ages 3+) from Smyths for £49.99. It is a lot of money but I do think you get a lot for your money. This toy has kept my 5 year old happy for hours on end as there is just so much you can do with it and really would be a perfect Christmas gift for a Blaze fan.

This product was sent to me in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
