Review – Stocking Fillers from Wicked Uncle

I really struggle to buy presents for other people kids. You would think that as I am a parent myself that I would know exactly what they would like but unless they are a 5 year old boy or a 1 year old girl I am often pretty stumped. You want to spend your money on something that they are actually going to like and use. If you have similar problems then I may well have the help you need. Wicked Uncle got in touch with me to have a look at their website and some of their products and they had the answer to my present related prayers.

If you haven’t heard about Wicked Uncle before, they have a toy website specifically aimed at present buying. It is all based around the idea of you becoming the Wicked Uncle (or Auntie) that got the present totally right on Christmas Day or on their birthday.

Their website is great and super easy to use. If you are buying for a child that you don’t know very well you can search by age and gender and find something super cool that way. Or if you know a little about that childs personality you can search by that. For example, are they an adventurer or do they really like role plays? You can really narrow the searches down to find the perfect gift. I love that there are so many options to choose from and it’s not just a simple age range or the usual filters you might find on other toy websites. If you need to post the present Wicked Uncle can gift wrap it for you and send it straight to the recipient. They even have a reminder service so you don’t forget anyones birthdays!

I wanted to see what their stocking fillers were like for Christmas time or the little token gifts that you want to send but not break the bank. I thought the range of gifts were good and not the most obvious choices which I liked. I based my search around my own kids and used all the filters I could. I have to say it worked. It did come up with stuff that were right up my kids street. Here is what I ended up choosing.

Explore: Stickers that come to life – This sticker book was picked with my Little Man in mind and he loved it! The book has lots of different scenes and then stickers to pop onto them. The special thing about this book though is if you download the app and hold the camera over your stickers they come to life! Little Man loved moving around the race car that he had put in his book through his tablet. A very cool idea!

Chocolate Snowmen – Chocolate is a staple in a stocking and these snowmen are adorable and I am reliably informed by my 5 year old very yummy too! Yep, they didn’t last till Christmas!

Monster Plants – My Little Man is a big fan of gardening with his Grandad so I had to get this set when I saw it. Inside are the seeds and all the things you need to grow your very own prehistoric garden. There are even moving plant seeds. We can’t wait to get started on this!

Mini Story Princesses – Both my kids have loved playing with this story set. It’s so cute and would be a lovely Christmas gift. It has little wooden figures and a princess carriage and all the right things to get little imaginations going.

Unicorn Poo – I hear the word poo said in this house more than I’d like to admit. Kids are just obsessed with the word! This unicorn poo is a lot of fun and very colourful! It is sticky (but doesn’t make your hands sticky) and mouldable and can stick to flat surfaces. It is super easy to clean too which is a plus point for me! I have been using it as a stress ball too!

All the toys came well packaged and a really nice touch that I liked was the thank you card inside that the kids can send to whoever sent them the gift to say thanks.

I really rate Wicked Uncle and will defintely be using them in the future for those tricky present buys. Head over to Wicked Uncle to see what they have to offer if you are on the look out for some last minute Christmas presents.

I was sent a Wicked Uncle voucher in return for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
