It’s the beginning of the year and all over social media are motivational quotes to get us started for the year. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I love a good quote. It’s a simple one really but it really has helped me. I have a print of it next to my bed and when my anxiety was at its peak I read it every single day before I pushed myself to get out of bed. No matter how hard life got it was very rare I didn’t get up out of bed and reading this really did help.
Sometimes just getting up, even though it wasn’t what I wanted to do made me feel a little better. Showing up to things I didn’t feel like doing gave me a boost, knowing that that day I hadn’t given up. It was the same for me when Little Lady was in hospital, getting up and facing the day was hard but getting up and showing up did help in the end.
