Cutting Down the Gardening in a Busy Family Home

Maintaining a family garden falls low on the endless list of household chores to tend to. From washing to ironing and the daily hoovering, dusting and dishes too – there really isn’t much room to squeeze in the gardening. With this in mind I am sharing 3 top tips to get the perfect garden for a busy family home.

1/  Artificial Grass – The thought of having a perfect lawn all year round, minus the time and effort needed to maintain it, is like music to the ears! Artificial grass is stress-free, child and pet friendly and stays looking immaculate regardless of the weather. No more browning or balding patches to contend with! Cleaning it is quick and simple too. A gentle brush back of the strands will keep it looking fresh. Any stubborn dirt can be treated with a regular wash down with the garden hose.

If you’re looking for quick and easy gardening then artificial grass is definitely worth considering. Especially when we take into account the time spent mowing, weeding and seeding a natural lawn. Then there’s the mud trails and grass stained clothing to think about too!

2/  Artificial Plants – Artificial plants have come a long way from fake daisies and daffodils. Now hosting a whole array of beautiful buds to choose from, you’ll be spoilt for choice! With absolutely no effort needed they are perfect for a busy family home. Simply hang them up, pop them in place or wrap them round the trellis and your good to go. Check out this beautiful artificial hanging basket from Sainsbury’s.

3/  Decking/Paving – Have you got more garden than you care for? Section it off with decking or paving. This instantly crops your garden into manageable chunks, cutting down the amount of natural grass or planters to trowel through.

There we have it 3 great recommendations for gardening in a busy family home. If you’re too pressed for time to garden, then let me know if you have any additional suggestions to cut down those dreaded garden chores!

These are some great tips. People often forget that it takes more than water to have a beautiful green lawn. Even fertilizing…you have to apply different fertilizer at different times of the year to achieve optimal results. Great article. Thanks for sharing! http://www.conroesprinkler.com/
