Review – Benjamins Products Children’s Cutlery Set

Little Lady has got to the Miss Independent stage, even things she still needs a bit of help with she refuses the help. She wants to show everyone how good she is at everything especially when it comes to eating. Part of the fun of the first year or so of children eating solids is the mess! We’ve all got that photo of our kids the first time they tried to eat spaghetti bolognese! However with this new found independence a lot of Little Lady’s dinner can unintentionally end up on the floor and ideally I would prefer it to end up in her mouth! We have been reviewing a cutlery set from Benjamin’s Products to help rectify this.

The Children’s Cutlery Set is made up of a curved spoon and a pusher, the idea being that as toddlers move each piece of cutlery together they catch a bit of food on the spoon and can eat it. I have to say when I opened the box I was a bit worried that she wouldn’t be able to master it as they are interesting shapes but I was wrong! She pretty much instantly worked out what to do with the spoon and pusher and even managed to catch some peas!

Using this cutlery set has been amazing for Little Lady’s motor skills but also for her confidence too as she is getting less frustrated when she just can’t catch that baked bean that she has been chasing around the plate for ages! I also noticed that Little Lady found the spoon a lot easier to use on it’s own too when eating her yoghurts.

This set is great and perfect for toddlers who aren’t quite ready for normal cutlery but want to give it a go anyway. It’s fab for development of motor skills, less mess and getting more food in their mouth rather than on the floor! I was very pleasantly surprised.

You can order the Benjamin’s Products Childrens Cutlery Set in either right or left handed from Amazon.

I was sent this product in return for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
