Getting My Summer Body Confidence Back with UK Swimwear

I have written before about how body confidence is something I don’t have a lot of. In that post I explain how I often feel guilty for not having that confidence because there is so much out there on social media telling me how I should be proud of my Mum bod. Don’t get me wrong I am proud of what it has done and that it grew my 3 babies but I do have a very unhealthy relationship with my body. I don’t like what I see when I look in the mirror; when I put weight on it all goes to my tummy so I end up with a tummy that makes me look a good 5 months pregnant. I often notice people glancing at my tummy and I know they are wondering if I’ve got a bun in the oven. After 2 c-sections and a diagnosis of Diastasis Recti after my first pregnancy I have been left with a body that I am not confident in. However I don’t want that to ever stop me from doing anything or shying away from certain activities especially when those activities are with the kids because let’s be honest they don’t care about my tummy!

We went on holiday to Devon last week and one thing I was really worried about was being in a swimming costume at the pool and even the beach with the weather we had been having. When UK Swimwear got in touch and offered me the chance to review one of their swimming costumes I thought this might really help me.

UK Swimwear have some gorgeous swimwear and they cater for all shapes and sizes. I decided to look into their shaping swimwear to help give me a boost. I had a look at a couple of articles on their blog which had some really great advice about choosing the right piece for your size and also some information about tummy control swimsuit. They had a huge range of really beautiful swimming costumes in their shaping range and I actually found it really difficult to choose. In the end I chose the Speedo Sculpture Crystalsun Swimsuit in royal blue.

I loved this swimsuit and have never felt more confident in a swim suit even before I had children! The swimsuit is a lovely colour in a very striking blue. It has a self tie halterneck which I found really great as it gave me lifts in the right places. It is made of shaping fabric and has both tummy control and shaping support.

I wore it to the swimming pool with the kids and felt really good in it; I felt held in and like it gave me a good shape. I then teamed it with a pair of shorts for a few of our trips to the beach too.

If you are feeling worried about wearing swimwear on holiday this summer, I would definitely recommend having a look at UK Swimwear. There really is something for everyone including swimsuits, bikinis and cover ups and there are prices to suit everyones budgets too.

It was so nice to enjoy the time with the kids in the pool and on the beach rather than worrying about how I looked.

This swimsuit was sent to me in return for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
