Review – Stamping with Hunkydory Crafts
I don’t know about you but when the craft box comes it makes me a bit nervous! I enjoy doing crafts with the kids but I do not like the mess afterwards! I am also not very artistically minded, to be honest the kids produce better results than me most of the time. So when I am looking for new craft activities to do with the kids, I look for easy ones and mess free!
Hunkydory Crafts very kindly sent me some of their ‘For the Love of Stamps’ range to have a go with. The kids (and me) had a fab time using them.
My kids love stickers and stamps so these sets were right up their street. We chose the ‘Shiver Me Timbers’ stamps and the ‘Misfit Robots’ stamps too. I have to admit, I had never done stamping like this before. To go with the packs of stamps you will need some ink pads (I went for colourful ink as the kids were doing it) and a stamp applicator too because these stamps are reusable.
Each stamp set came with a sheet of stamps which you simply just peel off, pop onto your applicator and get stamping. Little Man in particular really enjoyed doing it this way. The ‘Misfit Robots’ set had lots of different robot parts meaning he could build up his robot on the applicator with different arms, legs, etc and then stamp it all in one go. The ‘Shiver Me Timbers’ set had everything they needed to make a pirate scene. The both came with some sentiments too so they would be awesome for card making and as I mentioned I bought some different coloured inks to use with the stamps but if you were to do black ink the kids could colour them in too. Once finished you simply wipe away the ink from the stamps and pop them back onto the sheet ready for next time.
We were really impressed with the ‘For the Love of Stamps’ range, Little Man has already asked me to get some more as there are loads to choose from. If you are looking for something a little different to do with the kids this holiday then these stamps are great. They are £8 for a set from Hunkydory Crafts, they seem really durable so I think they could be used over and over again.
We were sent these stamp sets in return for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.
