This will hopefully be the start of many more children’s book posts from me. Children’s books are my thing. Before I decided to do this blogging thing full time my job was as a School Librarian and have celebrated many World Book Days over the year. World Book Day doesn’t just mean costume stresses the night before it is about bringing together children and families and reading together. Stressful costume finding aside though, celebrating is exactly what we should be doing today. Celebrating reading, books and trying to instil a love of reading in our kids. I spend my professional life trying to get kids to read but… View Post

There is an expectation to not just shove our kids into the nearest Spiderman or Elsa costume but to actually make sure they turn up as something book related. To busy parents; a royal pain in the backside. Allow me to give you another side of this for a minute though. I am a Librarian so I am of course bias but… View Post
