All of a sudden my little boy has become affectionate! It’s happened overnight really and is just magical. My heart literally bursts. Here is how it feels to have my toddlers love.   When you were a baby, you liked to lie alone, It made it kind of tricky to settle your crying tone. You weren’t a baby that liked to be held too much, But I knew it made things better if I gave you a gentle touch.   Now you’re a a toddler, a little boy you say, I noticed the difference only the other day. You asked me… View Post

Last Tuesday we had Little Man’s 2 year development check with the Health Visitors. He had had a similar type of review done at nursery when he turned 2 in October but I thought it was best to go along to this too, to ensure his medical records were kept up to date. My Mum used to run a playgroup back in the late 80s and early 90s. She then went on to work as a Learning Support Assistant in a primary school. Because of this she has a wealth of great activities for kids up her sleeve. She visits every Monday and is often armed with wrapping paper tubes, baking ingredients or some other home made craft for Little Man to have a go at. It’s great! I thought I would share with you some pasta play that Little Man has been doing with her recently.    My Mum bought along dried… View Post

I love chocolate. No, I mean I really love chocolate. If you told me to go on a chocolate free diet, I would look at you as if you were something from another planet. The words ‘no chocolate’ don’t compute in my brain I’m afraid. I need it. I sometimes only manage to get through a day because I have promised myself a chocolatey treat at the end of it. It’s my own little pat on the back for getting myself through another day without any major disasters. The problem is; now it’s not just my chocolate – it’s Mummy… View Post
